Harold B. Griffin

Harold Brown Griffin, 72, of Lyndhurst, VA, passed away on Tuesday, July, 16, 2024 in Fishersville, VA. He was born in Marlinton, WV to the late Raymond (Jack) Griffin and Charlotte Turner Griffin on December 28, 1951.

Harold was a graduate of Pocahontas County High School. He retired from the Highland Count Sheriff’s Department in 2006 after 26 years of service as a Deputy Sheriff.

Harold is survived by his wife of 33 years, Joyce Newlen Griffin; his brother, Frank Griffin and his wife, Barbara of Morgantown, WV; his sister, Anna Lowery and her husband, Joe of Lyndhurst, VA; his niece, Mandy Driscole, and nephews, Chris Griffin and Nate McManus.

The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00pm, Friday July 19, 2024 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, Fishersville, and where a funeral service will be held at 1:00pm, with Pastor Billy Coffey officiating. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.  Serving as Active Pallbearers will be Bill Hoover, Charlie Hoover, Jason Hise, Nate McManus, Matthew Lowery, and Scott Lowery.
