Hancel "Hank" Wayne Porterfield

Hancel "Hank" Wayne Porterfield, 90, of Staunton, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.

Hancel was born in McCaskill, Arkansas to the late Jessie and Dena Porterfield on April 7, 1935. He married Rosario Porterfield on June 18, 1999 in Urbana, Virgina. He worked as an engineer for the military for 15 years). He proudly served in the United States Navy.

In addition to his parents, Hancel was preceded in death by his son, John Porterfield.

In addition to his wife, Hancel is also survived by his daughter, Catalina and Joanna Porterfield

A funeral services will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Charlton and Grome Funeral Home with the Rev. Jonathan Bauer from Emmanuel Episcopal Church officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
