Glenda Potter, 75, of Staunton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Shenandoah Nursing Home and Rehabilitation in Fishersville.
Born March 4, 1950, Glenda dedicated nearly 30 years of her life to Western State, retiring as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Her compassionate nature extended far beyond her profession, as she was always a caregiver to everyone she knew.
Glenda was preceded in death by her mother, Maud Pugh; her husband, Roy J. Potter Jr.; her sisters, Joyce Howdeyshell and Linda Siple; and her brother, "Buck" Pugh.
She is survived by her son, Robert Potter and his wife, Cassie of Linden, California; her daughter, Amy Rycroft of Staunton; her sister, Brenda Henderson of Waynesboro; her grandchildren, "Cole" Furry, Jayson Potter, and Andrew Potter; her three great-grandchildren, Kinsley Furry, Keelan Potter, and Khloe Potter; her longtime companion, Thomas Curry; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
No formal service will be held at this time.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Charlton and Groome Funeral Home.
