Gladys Beaver Riddle

Gladys Beaver Riddle, 92, of New Hope, passed away Friday October 8, 2021 at Shenandoah Nursing and Rehabilitation, Fishersville. She was born August 14, 1929 in Waynesboro, daughter of the late William Harper Beaver and Ruth Hamman Beaver.

She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker and a member of New Hope United Methodist Church.

Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Harry S. Riddle on July 9, 2005; her son, Robert R. Riddle; four sisters, Genevieve Beaver, Elsie Jones and her husband, Donnie, Pearl Seachrist and her husband, Wayne, Marie McCauley and her husband, Jack; three brothers, Clayton Beaver, Leonard Beaver and Richard Beaver and his wife, Helen.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Breeden (Gary) and Kathy McDaniel (Jeff); six grandchildren, Tammy Marshall, Rhonda Beeker (Michael), Wesley Breeden (Samantha), Jenni Riddle Johnson, Randi Riddle and Cori McDaniel; seven great-grandchildren, Tyler Marshall, Kaleb Marshall, Sydney Breeden, Ada Beeker, Emmett Beeker, Saige Breeden and Hunter Johnson; her sister-in-law, Yvonne Wade; a special family friend, Mindy Booth, who was like a third daughter to her, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday, October 16, 2021 at New Hope United Methodist Church, conducted by Pastor Michael Reaves. Those who wish may view Mrs. Riddle at the church from 11 am until the hour of the service, 12 noon. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, followed by a reception in the church social hall.

Active pallbearers will be Wesley Breeden, Michael Beeker, Alan Beaver, Gary Beaver, Rodger Beaver and Jarman Fretwell.
