Geraldine May Schlabach, 93, formerly of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022, at the home of her son. She was born November 23, 1928, in Elkhart, Indiana to Dewey and Myrtle (Steele) Maggert.

On May 15, 1948, she married John Schlabach Sr.; he preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Joan Newman; two grandsons, Kenneth Schlabach and Scott Schlabach; a son-in-law, John LeVan and three brothers and three sisters.

Surviving are two children, John (Ruth) Schlabach, Jr. and Judy LeVan; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and a sister, Jean Tilford.

Geraldine enjoyed knitting, crocheting, watching soap operas and she was an avid dog lover.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 2 P.M. in Rice Cemetery, Elkhart, Indiana.
