Gary Lee Quesenbery, 66, of Waynesboro, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Augusta Health. He was born November 7, 1957 in Charlottesville, a son of the late Ceylon Grey Quesenbery and the late Marian Delores Quesenbery.
Gary was a graduate of Wilson Memorial High School; he had attended Blue Ridge Community College and the PGA School. He was a Golf Professional with UVA at Birdwood.
He had a lifelong interest in golf and was an avid Philadelphia Sports Teams fan. He loved listening to Pink Floyd.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jon and Dennis and an infant sister.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Cindy Quesenbery; his daughter, Sara Manolas and her husband, Spiro; his son, Andrew Quesenbery and his three grandchildren, Elijah, Gus and Nico.
At his request there will no services.
Gary’s favorite saying was “Straighten up and fly right!”
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center, 1001 Mt. Torrey Rd., Lyndhurst, VA 22952.
The family is being served by the Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, Fishersville.
