Gail (McFate) Babcock

“Gail” Babcock went home to be with the Lord on October 6, 2020, at home in Stuarts Draft, Virginia.

Gail was born on August 4, 1939, to Roy and Elizabeth McFate in Binghamton, New York. On August 10, 1957, she married Edward Babcock in Binghamton, New York. Together they raised three wonderful children, Mark, Todd and Liza. Gail was preceded in death by Edward in 2013.

Gail was a loving mother who experienced incredible joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gail leaves behind a wonderful legacy of having raised an extraordinary family.

Gail will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

Gail is survived by her daughter Liza M. Babcock of Stuarts Draft, Virginia; son Todd C. Babcock and his wife, Monique of Chesapeake, Virginia; her son Mark E. Babcock of Loveland, Colorado; her five grandchildren, Elijah Trantham of Churchville, VA, Faith Babcock of Stuarts Draft, VA, Elizabeth Nolin Waldrop of Chesapeake, VA, Noah Babcock of Ottawa, Canada, Olivia Gail Babcock of Loveland, CO; her sister, Carol McFate of Sahuarita, Arizona; her great-grandchildren, Levi, Kennedy and Elliott Waldrop of Chesapeake, VA, Colton Babcock of Chesapeake, VA, Boyce Babcock of Ottawa, Canada; sister-in-law, Marilyn Babcock of Afton, NY as well as numerous loving nieces and nephews.

No formal services are planned at this time.
