Emmett William Campbell, 83, of Waynesboro, went to be with his Lord Monday January 11th 2021, at Augusta Health in Fishersville, after an extended illness. He was born June 21st 1937, in Rockbridge County, Virginia, a son of the late Silas and Frances Corrine Bowling Campbell.
He attended school in Rockbridge County, VA. He was a member of Blue Ridge Chapel Church of the Brethren in Waynesboro Virginia. He retired from Conagra with 32 years of service in 1999. He loved to work with his flowers, spend time with his family and having special meals with his family. He was a loving and caring dad and granddad.
He was preceded in death by seven brothers, Richard, James, Silas, Herbert, Joseph, his twin brother Ernest and infant brother and two sisters, Ruby Thompson and Marie Rowe.
On October 17, 1959, he married Allene Lenda Doyle the love of his life, who preceded him on June 2, 2009. He is survived by two sons, Tony W. and Jerry C. Campbell of Waynesboro; three daughters and son in law, Christopher (Judy) Pullen of Waynesboro, Linda Owens of Waynesboro and Joyce Taylor of Waynesboro; two brothers, Carl E. (Jean) Campbell of Indianapolis IN, Claude C. (Doris) Campbell Sr. of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Autumn Ann Pullen, Steven Lee Campbell and Anna Marie Taylor.
The Evangelist Jerry C. Campbell will conduct a graveside service and burial at 1 P.M. Monday, January 18th, 2021, in Augusta Memorial Park in Waynesboro, VA.
