Elbert Lewis "Junior" Ramsey, Jr.

Elbert ”Junior” Lewis Ramsey, Jr., 61, of Lyndhurst, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Waynesboro on September 19, 1961, a son of the late Elbert Lewis Ramsey Sr., and Joyce (Zimmerman) Ramsey.

Junior worked as a self-employed plumber. He was a perfectionist and was highly regarded in his line of work. “Piddling” with his cars and spending time with his family were a few of his favorite hobbies. Junior will be remembered as a man of few words, but when he did speak it generally was humorous. He served as a father figure to many and will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica (Ramsey) Stepp.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Debrah Ramsey; son, Trevor Ramsey and wife, Randal of Fishersville; son-in-law, Jon Stepp; grandchildren, Olivia Ramsey and Ellie Mae Ramsey; bonus grandchildren, Ryleigh Johnson and Bentley Johnson; sisters, Connie Campbell and husband, Donnie of Lyndhurst, and  Tina Hatter and husband, Danny of Lyndhurst; mother-in-law, Ethel Wells of Stuarts Draft; brother-in-law, Robert Wells; nieces and nephews; Tonya Campbell, Jenni Campbell, Phillip Campbell, Garrett Hatter, and Kerby Hatter; as well as a number of great nieces and nephews; cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11am on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home in Fishersville with Pastor Dave Chappell officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Junior’s special prayer warrior, Cordelia Underwood for her loving prayers and friendship.
