Douglas Wayne "Doug" McGrath

Douglas Wayne "Doug" McGrath, 66, of Waynesboro passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at his residence, He was born in Waynesboro on August 4, 1956.

He attended Wilson Memorial High School where  he played sports. Doug retired from Burris Refrigerated Logistics in Lyndhurst.
 
He was preceded in death by his Dad and Mom, James  and Fannie McGrath  and sister, Barbara McGrath Vines.

 He is survived by his brother, Mike and wife, Linda McGrath from Richmond; niece, Beth and husband ,John Stover from Verona; many cousins; fiancee of 32 years, Jan Harner; he
daughter, Megan and he husband, Ricky Huffman; three grandchildren- Emmalee Ann, Zoe Nikole, and Richard Jr.; as well as a
lest but not last, a large number of friends. 

Doug, better known as (Whitey), loved to go fishing, watch basketball, football, racing, boys baseball, and girls softball. Best of all he loved his music and made tapes of him singing and his friends in the doghouse, "man cave" singing. 

At this time there will be no services, at a later date. 
Ashes will be spread at a lake that we loved to go fishing.
