Donald G. "Don" Hite

Donald G. Hite, 76, of Fishersville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 8, 2021.

He was born on August 26, 1944 in Waynesboro.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Gaston Hite; mother, Ethel Thompson Hite and a brother, William Spitzer.

Don was a co-owner and REALTOR for Trade Mart Realty. He was a veteran of the Marine Corp and a member of Tinkling Springs Presbyterian Church.

He was a landscape artist with the outdoors being his canvas. He could always be found creating beauty and working in his yard. Whenever someone was in need, he was always there to lend a helping hand.

Don and Gail greeted each day “One Day at a Time” and with each sunset exchanged the words “Goodnight, I Love You.”

Don will always be remembered for the love he had for his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Gail S. Hite; daughter, Christy Hite Wilt and her husband, Nelson; son, Chris Hite and his wife Suzanne; grandsons, Josh Wilt, Patrick Hite and Bryan Hite and special friend of the family, Kris Blackstone.

A memorial service with military honors will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church in Fishersville conducted by Rev. Patrick Ryan and Rev. Merle Fisher.
