Dessaix Bernodotte (Buck) Hughes, Jr.

Dessaix Bernodotte Hughes, Jr., (Buck), 76, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025, at his home in Raphine Virginia.  He was born February 10, 1949 in Lexington, Virginia, son of the late Dessaix Bernodotte Hughes, Sr. and the late Marie Miley Hughes.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Shannon Hughes; his step-daughter, April Tucker Fogle and his two sisters, Nadine H. Miller and Sharon H. Tomassetti.

Buck is survived by his spouse, Lynn Tolleson Tucker Hughes; his daughter, Emily H. Warner (Chris) of Kernersville, North Carolina; his three grandchildren, Jacob Hughes, Klayton Kessler and Ian Warner and his sister, Emily H. Nicely of Lexington.

At Buck’s request there will be no services.
