Delphia M. (Evans) Neil

Delphia M. Neil of Roanoke, Virginia went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.  Delphia was born on March 31, 1931 to the late Hettie F. Evans and Oscar L. Evans in Nethkin, West Virginia.

Delphia was retired from the telephone company in the Washington, D.C. area after a long career.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Robert B. Neil; her son, Michael L. Neil and a brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Esther Evans.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert R. Neil and Martha A. Neil; her granddaughter, Amber Misenheimer and her husband, Shawn of Boulder, Colorado; her grandson, Rob Neil and his wife, Alison and her great-grandsons, Connor and Evan Neil of Charlottesville.

Delphia was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church while living in the Stuarts Draft area after retirement. Delphia moved to Roanoke, Virginia in 2016 to be closer to family.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 18, 2025 from 12 Noon until 1:00 pm at the Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Dr., Fishersville, where a Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm, conducted by Pastor Doug Paysour. Interment will follow in Augusta Memorial Park, Waynesboro.
