Delores Irene Eskew, 75, of Waynesboro, passed away June 16, 2021 at Augusta Health. She was born July 28, 1945 in Waynesboro, daughter of the late Cecil Franklin Johnson Sr. and Eva Virginia Raines Johnson.
Delores retired in 1993 after serving as a Housekeeper for Colony House for 13 years and Days Inn for 15 years. She was very friendly with everyone with whom she came into contact. She was a very sweet sister and a very giving person. She never met a stranger and always wore a smile.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Snead Woodard and Geneva Marie Allen and her brother, Cecil Franklin Johnson, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Cooper and husband, Kenneth; one grandson, Kenneth R. Cooper II; great-grandson, Leon Calvin Craig; her siblings, Shirley Fitzgerald of Waynesboro, Dorothy Jean Campbell and husband, Leonard of Craigsville, William Johnson of Waynesboro, Tessie Atkins and Roger Atkins and Ray H. Johnson Sr. and Carol Johnson and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Straightway Ambassador Holiness Church, 247 N. Augusta Avenue, Waynesboro, conducted by Brother Peter Grimm.
