Dawn Legg, 66, of Stuarts Draft, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024 at Shenandoah House of Augusta Health in Fishersville. She was born in Canal Zone, Panama, on March 24, 1958, a daughter of the late Lewis H. and Juanita B. Legg.
Dawn received her bachelor’s degree from Longwood College and her master’s degree from James Madison University. She worked as a teacher for over 30 years at Guy K. Stump Elementary in Stuarts Draft. Dawn sang for over 25 years with the Waynesboro Choral Society (she and an amazing voice) and was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. She was an avid reader. Dawn had an open, loving, and unselfish heart.
Survivors include her sister, Debbie Mandsker and husband,Greg; special friend, Kim McManaway, who was a true blessing to Dawn and her family; as well as her Guy K. Stump Family.
Debbie remarks that Dawn was an amazing little sister and that there is no whole Debbie without Dawn.
Follow cremation, there will be a private burial at Augusta Memorial Park in Waynesboro.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Charlton and Groome Funeral Home in Fishersville.
