David Lee Kirk

David Lee Kirk, 72, of Waynesboro, Virginia. passed away quietly on August 26, 2020 at the UVA Medical Center, Charlottesville, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis D. Kirk and Genevieve Kirk of Staunton, and brothers, John T. Kirk and Paul K. Kirk.

He is survived by his brother, Donald Kirk (Sherry), of Bluffton SC , sister-in-in law, Carol Kirk of Chesnee, SC and nieces, Dawn M. Kirk, Jennifer Kirk, Pricilla Goldsberry  and nephews, Michael Kirk and  Kevin Austin (Trina) and several great nieces and nephews.

David was an entrepreneur having many jobs throughout his lifetime, a published author, and a tax preparer with H&R Block. He loved to travel and was always reading and learning. He attended many colleges throughout his adulthood, the last being James Madison in 2018. David was an active member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of  Waynesboro. whom he considered as family. .
