Cornelia Ellen (Sprouse) Pleasants

Cornelia Ellen Sprouse “Connie” Pleasants, 95, of Lyndhurst Road, passed away Tuesday evening, April 28, 2020 at The Shenandoah House, Fishersville, Virginia. She was born October 3, 1924 in Greenwood, Virginia.

Connie was a stay-at-home Mother who cared deeply for her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete B. Pleasants; her parents, William H. Sprouse, Sr. and Mae I. McDaniel; her brothers, Billy Sprouse and Bobby Sprouse and her sisters, Irene Shifflett and Agnes Bowman.

Survivors include her sons, Danny Pleasants and Dale Pleasants and his wife, Sandy; her two brothers, Warren Sprouse and his wife, Mary and Wayne Sprouse and his wife, Kitty; her five grandchildren, Christina Pleasants Mininger, Brent Pleasants, Brandon Pleasants, Brittni Pleasants and Dale Michael Pleasants; her seven great-grandchildren, Konstance Mininger, Avery Mininger, Elijah Pleasants, Alessia Pleasants, Camila Pleasants, Kaitlyn Pleasants and Dawson Pleasants.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah and The Shenandoah House and her caregivers at home, Sandra and Ashley.

Private family graveside services will be held at Augusta Memorial Park, Waynesboro conducted by Pastor Wray Sherman of Hermitage Presbyterian Church.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Augusta Health-Shenandoah House, care of the Augusta Health Foundation, P. O. Box 1000, Fishersville, VA 22939.
