Chasity Jo'el (Pennington) Pleasants

Chasity Jo’el Pennington Pleasants., 28, of Grottoes, VA, passed peacefully in her sleep on Friday, March 31, 2023 after a short battle with Lymphoma. She was born July 27, 1994 in Elkins, WV. She was the youngest daughter of the Reverends Eric and Camie Pennington.
Chasity was a photographer, singer, song writer, and worshipper. She loved makeup, and enjoyed doing it for friends and family. She was the “class clown” and could have the whole family in stitches over her stories. Chasity would often say’ “worship is my war ship” and it was worship that carried her through.
She is survived by her husband, Christopher Brent Pleasants and their children, Holland, Elijah, Alessia, and Camila of Grottoes, VA; her parents, The Reverends Eric and Camie Pennington of Harrisonburg, VA; her sister, Cherish Pennington of Dallas, TX,  as well as her grandmother and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Dr., Fishersville, VA 22939, conducted by The Rev. Dr. Joshua Pennington.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 P.M. until the hour of the service
