Charles (Charlie) Bailey Snaith Jr., 78, of Staunton, Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025. He was born on February 26, 1946, in Charleston, West Virginia, and was raised by his late adoptive parents, Charles B. Snaith Sr. and Dorothy Armstrong Snaith.
Charlie is survived by his devoted friend and caregiver, Debbie Lucas, as well as his children, Kristen Snaith of Columbus, Ohio, and Brandon Snaith of Bidwell, Ohio. He is also survived by his two stepchildren, Jennifer and Christopher Perdue, both of Columbus, Ohio, and his 15 cherished grandchildren.
Charlie dedicated much of his career to retail, with his most recent role as a co-manager at Kroger. Known for his passion for golf, Charlie began playing at age 12 and achieved a hole-in-one during his lifetime. After college, he worked as a semi-professional golfer at a golf club, earning a reputation for his impressive long drive. Charlie was also an avid Elvis Presley fan, with a remarkable singing voice that shone during karaoke performances of Elvis’s songs.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to King’s Daughters Community Health and Rehabilitation Center and Legacy Hospice for their compassionate care.
Per Charlie’s wishes, no memorial service will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to Charlton and Groome Funeral Home in Fishersville, Virginia.
