Charles Calhoun Maupin, 68, of Waynesboro, passed away on Sunday, September 12th, 2021 in Fishersville, Virginia. He was born on May 29th, 1953 in Charlottesville, Virginia, son of the late Charles Hunter and Naomi Maude (Melton) Maupin
Charles was a veteran of the United States Navy. He graduated from Blue Ridge Community College with an Electrical Technologies Degree, and with that he worked at Merck and CO INC. as a technician until he retired. Charles was a member of Clear View Ministries of Waynesboro; as well as a lifetime member of the NRA and lifetime member of the Stuarts Draft Rescue Squad. Charles enjoyed traveling and was able to visit all 50 U.S. states and their capitals.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Christine Maupin; cousin, Michael Cook and nephews, Anthony Potter and Eddie Dean Marion.
Charles is survived by his sons: Matthew Maupin and Dakota Maupin both of Stuarts Draft; brothers: George Maupin, Jamie Nolan, and Norman Hatcher; sisters: Linda Potter, Doris Clark, and Patricia Cooper; aunts, Louise Cook and Nellie Kerby; nieces: Olivia, Kimberley, Melissa, Stephannie, Kristy, Tiara, Destiny, and Mary; nephews: Steven, Rodney, Barry, TJ, Joe, Tray, Matthew, and Tony. He is also survived by his former spouse and friend, Gay Losh.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 17, 2021 at ClearView Ministries, 307 W Main St, Waynesboro, VA 22980.
