Catherine Geraldine "Dean" Curry-Brooks

Catherine Geraldine “Dean” Curry-Brooks, 80, of Waynesboro, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 10, 2020 in Orange, VA.

She was born on October 16, 1940 in Headwaters, VA to Mr.& Mrs. Roy Propst.

She loved outdoor activities especially golf. She retired after many years from Fiberspun and was a member of Wayside Baptist Church.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.

The family extends a special thank you to Hospice of Heartland and the staff at Fox Trail Assisted Living.

In addition to her parents was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Brooks; sisters, Ruth Hiner and Ann Stoffel and a brother, Habert Propst.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Curry, Candice (Mike) Harlow and Penny (Ray) Tabor; son, Tony Curry; 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn (Leroy) Stephenson and Betty Jean (Jim) Estep; brother, Garth (Dot) Propst and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home in Fishersville, VA.

Funeral services will be private conducted by Rev. Robert J. Proffitt. Interment will be held at Augusta Memorial Park and the family will be pallbearers.

Memorial contributions may be made the Alzheimer’s Association.
