Catherine A. McNeil

Catherine A. McNeil, 70, of Waynesboro and formerly of Lynchburg, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025 at Augusta Health, Fishersville.  She was born April 17, 1954, in Boston, Massachusetts, daughter of the late James F. McNeil and Ruth E. Milburn McNeil.

In 2004 Catherine began working in the Facilities Maintenance Division at Liberty University, Lynchburg. She enjoyed feeding stray neighborhood cats, riding her scooter around the neighborhood and loved her word search books.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ralph McNeil and George (Butch) McNeil; her sister, Mary Hayes; her nephews, Robert (Bobby) Hayes and Eric Hayes; her aunt, Phyllis Mallard; her cousins, Tom and Steve and her step-niece, Valerie Hayes.

Her survivors include her daughters, Suzanne Wilson and her husband, Jeffrey of Waynesboro and Dawn Kehinde of Forest, Virginia; her grandchildren, Mason Wrenn, Kayleigh Wilson, Bennett Wilson and Victoria Kehinde; her sister, Jean McNeil of Hull, Massachusetts; her niece, Roni and great niece, Shae Lynne; her nephew, Jay and his wife, Karen and great nieces, Ciara, Aisling and Brenna and cousins, Barbara Furlong, Jeffrey Mallard, Cheryl Bryden and George Mallard.
