Carol Lynn Sprouse

Carol L. Sprouse, of Stuarts Draft, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024 in Charlottesville. 

Carol was born in Richmond, VA to John and Margaret Liptrap on October 31, 1950. She married Wallace “Puggie” Sprouse on July 16, 1968 in Staunton, VA and she was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church where she also served as a caretaker. She loved animals, gardening, crafting, decorating, cooking, and was an avid walker.  

Carol was proceeded in death by her parents and a brother, Ronnie Liptrap. 

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Pug; her son, Sean (Allison) Sprouse of Stuarts Draft, Donna (Jon) Bush of Stuarts Draft, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and a number of nieces and nephews. 

Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 2 - 4 PM at 257 Cranberry Drive, Stuarts Draft (Carol and Pug’s house). 

Memorials may be given to Hospice of the Piedmont or to Augusta Dog Adoptions. 

Arrangements are by Charlton and Groome Funeral Home and Crematory.
