Bruce Robert Chase, 71, passed away peacefully at home on February 8, 2018, surrounded by his loved ones.
Bruce was a loving husband of 44 years to his wife Nancy (Ferguson) Chase, and is father to two daughters, Lori (Maloney) Snyder and Stephanie (Chase) Kellington. He is also survived by three wonderful granddaughters Emily Chase Kellington, Molly Paige Kellington and Hannah Virginia (Kellington) Henrickson, two clever great-grandchildren, Lucia and Jaxson, and stalwart sons-in law Daniel Snyder, Wesley Kellington, and grandson-in-law Max Henrickson. Other survivors include a large extended family and dear friends Bucky and Anita Steele.
Bruce was a lifelong enthusiast & collector of Doo Wop and Blues music and was well-read in World religion and philosophy.
Bruce’s career included a number of years in law enforcement and distinguished military service during the Vietnam War.
Bruce was originally from Morristown, New Jersey and has lived in Washington, D.C., New Orleans, LA, and, for the past 30 years, in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
A small gathering to celebrate his life is planned.
