Brenda Sheets Bartley

Brenda Faye Sheets Bartley, 72, of Harriston, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on August 3, 2020.

She was born on December 20, 1947 in Waynesboro, Virginia to the late Charles R. Sheets and the late Margaret P. Sheets.

Brenda was a member of Wayside Baptist Church. She loved cooking, baking, sewing and crafts.

The family extends their sincere appreciation to Wayside Baptist Church for their prayers and kindness.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, who passed away on March 3, 2020, Tex Larry Bartley; sisters, Louise Meeks, Mary Gregory and Jean Bibb; brothers, William Sheets and June Sheets.

Brenda is survived by her children, Kimberley Bartley Cook and Larry (Randy) Bartley and his wife, Amanda; grandchildren, Adam Cook, Ashley Decker and Wyatt Bartley; sisters, Jackie Armstrong and Shirley Lafferty; sisters-in-law, Jo Ann Sheets, Katie Bartley, Hazel Bartley and Dotty Strohmenger; special friends, Martha Hepler and Brenda Davis.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm on Thursday, August 6, 2020 following the COVID regulations with mask or face covering, at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home in Fishersville.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2020 at Augusta Memorial Park in Waynesboro, conducted by Dr. Larry Johnson. Regulations due to COVID require mask or face covering.

Pallbearers will be Adam Cook, Wyatt Bartley, Cody Roadcap, Cody Parr, Dallas Rittenhouse and Joe Harris, Jr.
