Brenda Warren Obituary

Brenda Seiger Warren, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on May 1, 2024, at the age of 85. Born on April 8, 1939, in Harrisonburg, VA, Brenda was the daughter of the late Jerry Dennis and Hallie Foley Seiger.

Brenda graduated from Waynesboro High School and embarked on a fulfilling career. She served as a Billing Manager at Wilson Trucking, Floor Manager at Shoney’s of Waynesboro, VA, and co-owned the Long Meadow Cheese Shop in Fishersville, VA. Additionally, Brenda lovingly dedicated herself as a caregiver for her grandchildren over the years.

A devout member of Fishersville Baptist Church, Brenda found joy in singing in the choir and volunteering in the nursery alongside her beloved husband, Franklin D. Warren, whom she married on October 12, 1957.

In her leisure time, Brenda cherished moments with her family, capturing memories through photography and crafting cherished photo albums. She loved hosting family gatherings, playing cards and board games with her grandchildren, and staying connected with loved ones through Facebook. Brenda's passion for cooking, especially her homemade bread, and collecting cookbooks reflected her culinary talents and interests. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling and was an active volunteer with the American Heart Association, Mennonite relief sale, and Little League baseball.

Brenda will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Franklin; her children: Dennis Warren and his wife, Debbie of Summerville, SC, Timothy Warren of Waynesboro, VA, Kimberly Warren Pickett, and Leslie Warren Knick and her husband, Michael of Fishersville, VA. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Michael T. Fauber and his wife, Kali, Dylan M. Pickett, Christina W. Peterson and her husband, Justin Peterson, Matthew W. Knick, Alexander M. Knick, Benjamin Knick, and Tyler W. Knick; great-grandchildren: Nolan Peterson, Tanner Peterson, Gannon Peterson, Luna Bella Fauber. She is also survived by her siblings: Jerrilyn MacDanel and her husband, Mark of Harrisonburg, VA, and Marcia Riggs and her husband, Dwight of Chesapeake, VA; as well as extended family and friends, including her nephew Andrew MacDanel and nieces Emily Keung, Rebecca Griffin, and Sarah Vanderford.

A Celebration of Brenda's Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home in Fishersville. There will be a meet-the-family gathering immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Brenda’s legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering strength will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her. As she would often say, "What you see is what you get."
