Brenda C. Bryant, 73, of Stuarts Draft, passed away Monday, May 8, 2023 at her daughter’s home. She was born in Norfolk, VA, on December 8, 1949, a daughter of the late Frank E. and Mildred Lee (Williams) Cahoon.
Brenda received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Old Dominion University. She worked as a teacher for many years for Augusta County Schools. Crafts, sewing, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, were a few of her favorite hobbies. She was a member of Shenandoah Heights Baptist Church. Brenda loved her pets, Barkley and Blu. She greatly enjoyed traveling around Europe and visiting Williamsburg, Jamestown, and the Outer Banks.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Christina M. Andrews (Christopher) of Stuarts Draft and Cara L. Bryant of Waynesboro; grandchildren: Tristun Andrews, McKenzi Andrews, Kati Bryant (Josh Baska) all of Stuarts Draft, Alyssa Wolfe (Dylan Farley) of Staunton, Emma Harrington of Staunton, and Dakota Price of Stuarts Draft; great grandchildren: Peyton and Mason Baska, Henzley and Caiden Bryant; brother, Frank E. Cahoon II (Sara) of Staunton; as well as many fellow teachers from New Hope, Clymore, Verona, and Ladd Elementary Schools in Augusta County.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family will receive friends from 6pm until 8pm on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home.
