Beverley B. Thompson Shilling, 79, of Staunton, passed away Monday, May 10, 2021 at The Retreat at Fishersville. She was born February 13, 1942, in Fishersville, daughter of the late Allen Dickerson Thompson and Mary Lange Thompson.
She attended Elementary School in Fishersville, Wilson Memorial High School and Radford College. From 1965 until 1969 she was a Teacher at Wayne Hills Elementary School in Waynesboro. She was a member of Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church.
Beverley enjoyed flower gardening and working with flowers in the greenhouse. She was an artist and made crafts to sell at crafts shows.
The family would like to offer special appreciation to the Memory Care Staff at The Retreat at Fishersville and Kim with Hospice of the Shenandoah.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Clinton E. Shilling, they were married on July 31, 1966; her three children, Nichole Dyan Shilling Nargi and husband, Craig Michael Nargi, Kyle Brandon Shilling and Whitney Elaine (Shilling) Woodson and husband, Travis Woodson; her grandchildren, Emma Nargi, Jack Nargi, Kayla Woodson and Hailey Woodson; her brother and her sister-in-law, Robert D. Thompson and Susan T. Thompson of Fishersville; special friends Carolyn Moses of Bristol, Tennessee and Charlotte Downing of Staunton.
She was a mom, a grandma and a wife; Bev was a “Superwoman”.
Funeral Services will be held at Tinkling Springs Presbyterian Church,@ 11AM, Saturday 22, May, 2021 at Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church, Fishersville, conducted by The Rev. Patrick Ryan.
