Arnold Arthur Flach, 78, of Grottoes, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025 at Augusta Health, Fishersville, Virginia. He was born August 12, 1946, in North Tonawanda, New York, son of the late Robert A. Flach and the late Evelyn Getz Flach.
An Army Infantry veteran, he attained the rank of Sergeant, and served three tours of duty in Viet Nam.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his granddaughters, Bethany Flach and Gabrielle Windnagle and his grandparents, Arthur and Genevieve Getz.
Survivors include his daughter, Dawn Windnagle of Truman, Arkansas; his son, Arnold Flach, Jr. of Pennsylvania; his daughter, Dianna Flach of North Tonawanda, New York; his siblings, Allen Flach and wife, Bonnie of Shenandoah, Virginia Wentworth of Ilion, New York, James Flach and wife, Tina of Cookeville, Tennessee, Jennifer Zalewski and husband, Alex of Grottoes and Terri Rowe of North Tonawanda, New York; his five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, his great-great-grandson and numerous nieces and nephews. Arnie is also survived by his special friends, Stan and Virginia McClendon, of Hixton, Tennessee and Pam Daboll of Florida.
The family would like to offer a special “thank you” to the Staff and Nurses of King’s Daughters Community Health and Rehabilitation and to the Doctors and Nurses at Augusta Health and the Hospice of the Shenandoah.
Per Arnie’s wishes he was cremated and a private service will be held at later date.
