Anna Mae Jackson Berry, 89, of Waynesboro, Virginia was called to be with our Lord on Thursday December 26, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Berry was born on March 6, 1935 in Waynesboro, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late James Jackson and the late Mary Berkley Jackson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, Fred Berry; son, Jerome Jackson; grandson, Evan Berry; her siblings, James “Sonny” Jackson, Sr., Stella Johnson and Mary Hobson.
Mrs. Berry is survived by her children, Fred S. Berry, Shelley Blair and her husband, Mike, Belinda Berry, Debbie Deffenbaugh, Freda Berry, Vickie Berry, Bonita Woodson and her husband, Franklin and Penny Berry; fourteen grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Lytle, and a special niece, Gloria Jean Casey and caregiver, Evelyn Nyonga.
Mrs. Berry was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Waynesboro, Virginia. She loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, playing family games, gardening, watching her favorite show including Gun Smoke, The Andy Griffith Show, Young and The Restless, and The Bold and Beautiful.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 10, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Waynesboro. Family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the church.
Burial will follow service at Riverview Cemetery in Waynesboro, Virginia.
