Ann Carlene (Dickerson) Rose, 80, of Waynesboro, VA, departed this earth on June 8, 2021 at Augusta Health in Fishersville, Virginia.
She was born May 21, 1941 in Nelson County, Virginia to the late Herbert E. Brown and Carlene D. Brown
Ann attended Booker T. Washington and Cedar Green schools in Staunton, Virginia.
She was employed by Virginia Panel in Waynesboro, Virginia until her retirement in 2005
Ann was a faithful and active long time member of Mt. Woodland Baptist Church in Greenfield, Virginia.
She is survived by her husband, Deacon John C Rose Jr. of Waynesboro, Virginia; Daughters: Annette Brown (Earl), Sophia Robinson of Waynesboro, VA and Priscilla Rose of Glen Allen, VA and son, John C. Rose III of Waynesboro, VA;Sisters, Mary Alexander (Howard) of Nelson County, VA and Carolyn McGuffin of Waynesboro, VA; Grandchildren, Leonard Robinson III (Waynesboro, VA),Tamika Rose (Phoenix, AZ), Latisha Rose (Phoenix, AZ), Michael Brown (Waynesboro, VA) and Dominique Brown (Richmond, VA); Great grand children, Jaylen Robinson, Bryce Robinson, Carmelo Boyce, a host nieces and nephews and her devoted best friend, Alice Durrett.
She loved being with her family, doing word search puzzles. Her favorites TV programs were Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and any Judge shows.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Frances Newman and her brother, Harvey Brown.
The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to Augusta Health Hospital.
The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 11:00am on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home in Fishersville, VA and where a service will be held at 11:00am.
Interment will be private.
