William Charles Nickolls, 55, of Avon, Virginia, passed away October 2, 2019, at Augusta Health-Shenandoah House, Fishersville, Virginia. He was born in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, son of the late, Charles Edward Nickolls and Billie June Nickolls.
William was a Master Trim Carpenter. William left a legacy of beautiful custom trim wood work in many of Charlottesville area’s finest homes. His clients were impressed and happy with his designs and talent that he tailored for each one of the homes he worked on.
Will (or Bill, to some), enjoyed playing his guitar and leading a simple life, he loved football season and rooting for the Washington Redskins, a lifelong fan.
He had a great sense of humor and a big heart, as his friends can attest to.
He will be missed by those of us that shared his life and his love.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Cary Edward Nickolls.
Survivors include his brother, Robin (Jeanne) Nickolls of Vero Beach, Florida and his sister, Tracey (Robert) Hoard of Vero Beach, Florida; his niece, Jaime (John) Coffman of Parker, Colorado and his nephew, Forrest (Alison) Mallonee of Richmond, Virginia .
William’s ashes were scattered in his beloved Blue Ridge Mountains in Shenandoah National Park.
