Wilda Maxine Baker

Wilda Maxine Baker, 90, of Harrisonburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Oak Grove Manor in Waynesboro.

She was born on October 16, 1926 in Grottoes to the late Theodore R. Rogers and the late Anna M. Rogers.

She graduated from Port Republic High School and Dunsmore Business College. She worked as a receptionist at Camelot Nursing Home.

She was a member of Asbury Memorial Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert M. Baker; sister, Geraldine R. Baugh and a brother, James T. Rogers.

She is survived by her children, Maurice (Marty) Baker and his wife, Elizabeth, Darlejean (Deej) Baker and her partner, Phillip McEldowney, Donna B. Wetsel and Sharon B. Canevet and her husband, Roger; grandchildren, Bryan Baker, Ben Baker, Peter Wetsel, Annick Canevet and Danielle Canevet; great grandchildren, Eva Baker, Olivia Baker, Elijah Baker, Lily Baker and Harrison Wetsel; sister, Yvonne Knopp Walker.

A graveside service will be held 2:00pm on June 19, 2017 at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to Augusta Health Hospice or Harrisonburg Rockingham Community Service Board
