Victor Eugene Shifflett

Victor Eugene Shifflett, 76, of Waynesboro, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 in Charlottesville.

Victor was born on February 4, 1943 in Pottstown, PA to the late John Shifflett and the late Elsie Tisdale Davis.

Victor received his Associate Degree in Business and two years at technical school.

He was a machinist in his earlier years and in 2010 he retired after 20 years as owner and administrator of St. Luke’s Assisted Living Facility.

He was a member of White Hill Church of the Brethren.

He enjoyed fishing, piddling in the shed, woodworking, electronics gadgets, spending time with his dog “Blu”, he was a political enthusiast, watching western movies, gospel and country music.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his mother, Elsie Davis and his beloved grandparents, Floyd and Bessie Tisdale.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Patricia Jones Shifflett; Robert Eugene “Gene” Shifflett and his wife, Lisa SC, Patricia Dean of Staunton, Cindy Dillon of Waynesboro, Richie Hollingsworth of Waynesboro, Frankie Hollingsworth and his wife, Dawn of Waynesboro and Jimmy Nunn of Waynesboro; grandchildren, Mathew Dillon, Tiffany Newlen, Jessica Orren, Duke Orren, Sean Dillon, Chris Dillon, Shawn Hollingsworth, Sadie Perryman and Destiny Hollingsworth; seven great grandchildren and one on the way, brother, Norman Shifflett of Stuarts Draft, sister, Sherry Dawson of Stuarts Draft; special friends, Ronnie Cash and Layne Thomas.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon at White Hill Church of the Brethren, 749 Old White Hill Road, Stuarts Draft, VA 24477 and where a funeral service will be held at Noon.

Interment will follow at White Hill Church of the Brethren Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Dillon, Sean Dillon, Chris Dillon, Shawn Hollingsworth, Trey Orren and Landon Orren.
