Vicki Vaden Knicely, 81, of Churchville, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Harrisonburg on August 11, 1936, son of the late Bernard Clyde (B.C.) Knicely Sr. and Violet Phillips Knicely.

Vic attended Wilson Memorial High School and Augusta Military Academy.  He was retired from Brown and Root Industrial Services as an iron worker and rigger. He served in the United States Marine Corps from September 29, 1955 until September 26, 1958. Vic was an avid handball player, volleyball player and for many years was a member of the Staunton YMCA, where he was inducted into the Staunton YMCA Volleyball Hall of Fame

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, BC Knicely Jr. and his wife, Evelyn and Carroll Knicely and his wife, Evelyn; one sister, Rosebud Crotts and her husband, Buck and a nephew, Buddy Knicely, the son of W. Larry Knicely.

He is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Lynn Knicely and Kristi Knicely Gregory and her husband, Eddie H. Gregory; the mother of his children, Helen C. Steele; two grandsons, Timothy “Blake” Painter and Michael “Stone” Agnor; one great grandson, Braydon James Patton, the son of Michael Stone Agnor; one brother, W. Larry Knicely; three nephews, Kelly E. Nelson, BC Knicely III and Lonnie Crotts; three nieces, Judy Hermanson and her husband, Rody, Sherri Marquez and Terry Knicely.

Burial will be private.
