Ronald “Ronnie” Keith Cole, 58, of Stuarts Draft, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017 at his home. He was born July 10, 1958 in Swords Creek, VA, the son of the late Cecil R. Cole and Wattie Gay Cole Edgin.

Ronnie attended Marion Senior High School, Marion, VA.  He was a self-employed Woodcraftsman and Artisan for most of his adult life and was a member of the Virginia Artisan Association. He attended Growing Together Fellowship where he was the founding Pastor.

A man of many talents, he was a furniture builder, photographer, landscape painter, custom furniture designer, guitarist and an ordained minister.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Growing Together Fellowship, Common Ground Ministries and the multitude of friends and the online social media friends from Appalachian Mountain Folk.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn (Susie) Hayes and his step-mother, Polly Cole.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah (Debbie) Cole; four sons, Livingston Lewis and wife, Beth of Richmond, VA, Simon Cole of Charlottesville; Nathan Cole and wife, Kimberly of Louisville, KY and Aaron Cole of Waynesboro; eight grandchildren, Taylor Cole, Kaydence Cole, Alexis Cole, Cassidy Cole, Gabriel Cole, Ezra Cole, Corinne Lewis and Grayson Lewis; a half-brother, Kenny Cole of Rowland, NC; a half-sister, Pam Morin of Marion, VA; three step-brothers, Chris Kalber of Marion, VA and Robin Kalber of Richmond, VA and John Kalber of Atlanta, GA; niece, Julie Simmons and husband Jessie and their daughter, grandniece, Caroline Simmons of Dinwiddie, VA; a nephew, Kevin Ryan Hayes of Aurora, IL; a brother-in-law, Kevin Ross Hayes of North Liberty, IA and a very special friend, his dog, Sady, who was by his side for seven years.

A Homegoing Service will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Growing Together Fellowship, 261 North Central Avenue, Staunton, VA 24401, conducted by Pastor Ronnie Harris and Elder Steve Wolcott.

Honorary pallbearers will be Livingston Lewis, Simon Cole, Nathan Cole, Aaron Cole, Jessie Simmons and Charlie Jamil “Peanut” Powell.
