Roger Wilson Scott, Sr.

Roger Wilson Scott, Sr., 55, of Afton, died on Tuesday, August 20, 2019.

He was born May 6, 1964 in Virginia to the late Rev. Mitchell Scott, Sr. and the late Hawsie Fitzgerald.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Mitchell “Mickey” Scott, Jr. and a sister-in-law, Pat Scott.

He is survived by his wife Rebecca Scott of Afton; his children, Skylar Scott of Afton, April Scott-Campbell of Schulyer, Roger “R.W.” Scott, Jr. and his wife, Ashley of Afton and a stepson, Andrew “A.J.” Braden, of Fishersville; siblings, Mike Scott and his wife, Kim of Afton, Lisa Stohr and her husband, Bob of Verona, Tida Kellison and her husband, Dwight of Swoope, Charlotte Scott of Hurt and Rita Kelley and her husband, Jimmy of Verona.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, August 23, 2019 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home.
