Robert Floyd Obituary

Robert “Donnie” Floyd, 58, of Waynesboro, passed away Friday, June 29, 2018, at his home.  He was born October 28, 1959 in Waynesboro, son of the late Jefferson Davis Floyd, Jr. and Stella Mae Floyd.

Donnie was a painter by trade, a graduate of Wilson Memorial High School and a member of Bridge Christian Church, Fishersville.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and junk collecting.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Floyd and a special childhood friend, Dee Sutton.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Tawana Floyd, they were married December 13, 1980; his children, Megan Floyd and Otis Brown of Verona, Samantha and Shawn Welcher of Goshen, Katlyn Floyd and Chris Thompson of Churchville, Jasmine Floyd of Goshen and Dakota Floyd of Waynesboro; one sister, Susan Peters and her husband, Tom of Churchville; numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, “Buddy”.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Bridge Christian Church, Pastor Stacey and the congregation.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, July 8, 2018, at Bridge Christian Church, 1275 Goose Creek Road, Fishersville.

In lieu of flowers, small monetary contributions may be given, by those who wish,  to cover future expenses for Dakota.
