Richard Clifton Lotts, 81, of Fishersville, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019, at Augusta Health, Fishersville.
Mr. Lotts was born in Rockbridge County, VA, on July 8, 1937, the son of the late Harry C. Lotts and Betty Duff Taylor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (Benson) Lotts, his brother, William Henry Lotts and his stepson, Phillip Marks.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Lotts Serrett of Waynesboro; his brothers, Harry Junior Lotts of Swoope and Calvin Lotts of Waynesboro. He is also survived by his stepson, James Marks; two step-grandsons, James C. Marks and Thomas Marks and several nieces and nephews.
He was loved, adored and cared for by four nieces, in particular, Sandra Serrett-Curran, Debra Serrett-Moss, Lisa Lotts Alley and Mary Beth Lotts Cavin.
He retired after many years of service from Wayne Tex, Inc. in Waynesboro. Richard loved all sports, especially NASCAR’s #3, the NY Yankees and golf. He was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, uncle and friend. He was always there in time of need to lend a hand to everyone he loved. His mischievous grin, caring personality and sense of humor will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
No formal services are planned.
