Patricia Yvonne (Simmer) Bishop

Patricia Yvonne Simmer Bishop died peacefully on August 11, 2017 at Royal Care Assisted Living in Fishersville, VA.  Patricia was born in 1936 in Suffolk, VA.  Her parents Virginia and Robert Simmer and former husband Lt. Col. Edward L. Bishop preceded her in death.  She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Y. Yager and Michele Y. Eiker and their families and her brother Robert C. Simmer and his family.  Patricia received her teaching certificate from Mary Washington College and taught in Virginia and Germany for over 30 years.  She retired as a teacher from Fairfax County and moved to the Farmville area where she was part of the Woodland Community.  Pat loved to travel and walk in the woods.  She enjoyed playing the piano, singing and spending time with friends.  To share your memories and pictures please go to:  Patricia Simmer Bishop Memorial page on Facebook.
