Monty M. McPhatter

Monty M. McPhatter, 78, of Mechanicsville, Virginia, went to be with the Lord Sunday, May 5, 2019.  He was born November 4, 1940 in Concord, North Carolina.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Harrison and his brother-in-law, Steve Layne.

Monty is survived by his wife, Diana Layne McPhatter and his beloved pets, Maggie and Mitzie; his granddaughter, Emma Harrison, son-in-law, Bob Harrison, mother-in-law, Jackie Layne, sister-in-law, Roxice Crickenberger and husband, Ronnie and sister-in-law, Theresa Layne, all of Waynesboro; his brother-in-law, Curtis Layne and wife, Deborah of Colorado Springs, Colorado and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Saturday, June 8, 2019, at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Drive, Fishersville.
