Marie "Sally" Bernier

Marie (Sally) Bernier the wife of retired Navy Lieutenant Commander, Raymond Bernier. Died of natural causes on 13 January 2018.  Mrs. Bernier was born in St. Johnsbury, VT, the only child of Charles and Bernadette Bradley.  She graduated from St. Johnsbury, Academy and Bentley School of Accounting and Finance, Boston, MA.  She was employed as an auditor by Publicker Distilling Corp of Philadelphia, PA prior to becoming a full time Navy wife and homemaker.  Her main hobbies were golfing and gardening.  She belonged to the Ft. Meade Ladies Golf Association and had two Club Championships to her credit.

            Survivors include her husband of 71 years, three children, Michael Charles Bernier of Staunton, VA.; R. Paul Bernier of Great Falls, VA; and Laurene Loisel of Hammond Village, Laurel, MD; ten grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.  A memorial mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi in Staunton, VA on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 2:00 PM. Inurnment will be private at the Naval Academy Cemetery, Annapolis, MD.
