Joe Travis Holloway

Joe Travis Holloway, 69 of Grottoes VA, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 24, 2017 in Fishersville, VA.  He was born December 30, 1948 in Erwin, TN and was the son of the late Alford Franklin Holloway and Lelia Woody Holloway of Waynesboro, VA.

Joe served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart as well as the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Republic Vietnam Campaign Medal.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ruetta Holloway and a nephew, Ricky Dwayne Holloway.

Joe is survived by his daughter, Angela Renee’ Holloway of Allentown, PA; two brothers, Samuel Holloway of Waynesboro, VA, Jimmy Holloway (Doreen) of Crimora, VA, four nephews, Alford Glen Holloway, Cory Scott Loucks, Jimmy Wayne Snow, and Samuel Lee Holloway.

A graveside service will be held 1:00pm on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Culpeper National Cemetery in Culpeper, VA with military honors.
