Joan Wells Simpson

Joan Wells Simpson, age 66, passed away peacefully at her home in Waynesboro on Wednesday December 4, 2019.  She was born November 10, 1953, a daughter of the late Lewis and Martha Wells. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Garrett Brogden and the absolute love of her life, her granddaughter Carly Joan White; her husband, Tim Simpson; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Judy DeWitt, Peggy and Danny Ruff, Ella and Warren Fitzgerald and Doris Wells; nephew and niece, Darren and Anda Ruff; two great-nieces that she adored, Britney and Sheridan Ruff. 

Following Joan’s wishes, there will not be a memorial service.  However, memorial donations may be made to UVA Children’s Hospital NICU - The Du Bose Fund for families and babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
