Howard Hoover Lawson, Jr.

Howard H. Lawson, Jr., 62, of Stuarts Draft, died on Thursday, March 15, 2018. Junior was born on February 22, 1956 to the late Howard H. Lawson, Sr. and the late Dixie Hicks Lawson.

Junior worked at Vector Industries in Waynesboro from 1989 to 2016. He attended the Daily Living Center. He loved knitting, crocheting, was an avid fan of VA Tech Football, loved Elvis Presley’s music, and enjoyed WWE wrestling.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Gene Lawson. He is the last surviving immediate family. He is survived by a nephew, Jeremy Lawson and his wife, Jessica; niece, Andrea Lawson and a great niece, Marleigh Bell.

The family would like to thank the staff at the UVA Augusta Dialysis Clinic, the Augusta Health-Hospice of the Shenandoah for their wonderful care and special friends, Lisa and Billy Beaver, Carl and Theresa Staton, and Brandon Richardson.

Family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Drive, Fishersville, VA 22939. A funeral service will be at 1:00pm on Tuesday, March 20 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.
