Gary Lee Powell, II

Gary Lee Powell, II, 31, of Stuarts Draft passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018.

He was born on December 31, 1986 in Charlottesville, VA to the late Tammy Lynn Beltran and his father, Gary Lee Powell, Sr. and survived by his step-mother, Michelle L. Powell.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ronnie W. Powell, Rex M. Batten and Robert Haynes.

Gary was an avid sports fan – baseball and football were his favorite.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie R. Powell; his three sons, Gary Lee Powell, III, Cylas Conner Smith, and Easton Mason Powell; and his five siblings, Jessica A Lopez and husband, Raul Lopez, Vincent A. Powell, Lydia N. Powell, Sierra M. Haynes, and Noah V. Beltran. He is also survived by his grandmothers, Linda Batten, Elizabeth A. Powell and Helen Haynes; his aunt, Becky A. Powell and uncle, Robert Haynes; four nieces Chloe, Elena, Gabriela, and Zaylee; his nephew, Zavier, and longtime best friend, Derek Allen.

Visitation, 12 pm to 1:00pm on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Drive, Fishersville, followed by a Funeral Service, 1:00 pm in the chapel of Charlton and Groome Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Sherando United Methodist Church Cemetery, Stuarts Draft.
