Edward “Ed” Buynacek died peacefully on September 17, 2018 at the age of 84.
He was born on September 14, 1934 in Newton Falls, Ohio to the late Andrew and Anna Buynacek.
He earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering, University of Cincinnati, 1957 and Masters in Mechanical Engineering, University of Southern California 1959.
He spent his entire career with Hughes Aircraft beginning in 1957, eventually retiring as an executive. He began work in California, transferred to Ohio and finally to Oakton, Virginia representing GM Hughes working closely with the Navy at the Pentagon. He retired with his wife at the Wintergreen Resort community in Nellysford, Virginia. Donations may be made to The Wintergreen Nature Foundation. www.TWNF.org
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Mary “Syd” Buynacek; daughter, Liz Umbaugh; daughter, Stephanie Lindemann; grandsons, Kurt and K.C. Lindemann; great granddaughter, Ingrid Lindemann; and brother, Andrew Buynacek.
