Dorothy Morris Ellington, 96, of Waynesboro and formerly of Baltimore, Maryland, went to be with the Lord, early Sunday morning, April 28, 2019. She was born June 23, 1922 in Boonesville, Albemarle County, Virginia, a daughter of the late Eugene Morris and Nettie Norris Morris.
Dorothy graduated from Dunsmore Business School and retired as a Secretary with Bethlehem Steel in Baltimore after 35 years of service. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Paul F. Ellington, Sr.; three sisters, Carrie Hodge Brookman, Leona Morris Hanger and Lucille “Billie” Brady and nine brothers.
Survivors include her son, Warren Ellington of Baltimore; daughter in law, Cora Lee Ellington of Waynesboro; three grandchildren, Paul F. “Chip” Ellington, II and wife, Rhonda of Stuarts Draft, Sara L. Baker and husband, Jeff of Greenville and Billy Bragg of Waynesboro; seven great-grandchildren, eleven great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 2, 2019, at Augusta Memorial Park, 1775 Goose Creek Road, Waynesboro, conducted by Pastor Isca Mitchell. Family and friends may assemble at the cemetery for the service.
