Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother, Dolly (Dot) Jane Rines of Stuarts Draft, passed away April 1, 2018. She was born August 31, 1932 in Treadway, Tennessee.
Dot volunteered with the Jefferson Co., TN Rescue Squad Women’s Auxiliary. She worked at the hosiery mill in Morristown, TN, worked in the snack bar at Carson Newman College, Jefferson City, TN and was retired from Roses snack bar, Waynesboro, VA.
Survivors include: daughters, Jeanie (Sam) Surratt, Camellia (Mark) Vail; sons, Doug Rines, Richard (Lisa) Rines; grandchildren, Steve and Jack (Jenny) Surratt, Scott and Andy (Jessica
Marshall) McNorton; April (Chris) O’Baugh, Mandy (Kevin) Johnson, J. D. Rines (Brea Phipps), Michael (Angela) Lamma; great-grandchildren, Alexis Lamma, Shyann Cannon, Peyton, Lane, Bryce and Landon McNorton, Kaileigh Marshall, Hunter, Ayden and Brantley Johnson; sister, Ann Collins, sisters-in-law, Edna Killion, Leona McGuire and Delores Winstead; brothers, Tex (Molly) and George (Ruby) Winstead.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Rines; parents, Mack and Laura Wolfe Winstead; paternal in-laws, Charlie and Grace Workman Rines; sisters and brothers-in-law, Beverly (Charles) Fronsman, Josephine (J.C.) Brinkley and Charlie Rader; daughter-in-law, Vicky Rines; great-granddaughters, Arya Lamma and Evelyn Miller; sisters, Trubie (Connie) Farmer and Shirley Bragg; brothers, Esco (Faye), Lon (Martha), Ray and Buford (Louise) Winstead and brother-in-law, Glenn Collins.
A graveside service at Augusta Memorial Park will be at 2 p.m., Friday, April 6. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery for the service. The family will receive friends after the service, until 6 p.m., at the home of Sam and Jeanie Surratt.
