David Wayne Fitzgerald

David Wayne Fitzgerald, age 61, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2019 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Mr. Fitzgerald was born November 18, 1957 in Lexington, Virginia. He attended the Riverheads High School and retired many years later as a truck driver.

After retiring, David loved going out on the boat with his daughter Wanda Bryant and Jay Roach fishing, or just riding around with his wife.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Hezekiah and Maxine Thurston Fitzgerald, and his sister Susan (Susie) Fitzgerald.

David is survived by his wife Norma Allen Fitzgerald of 19 memorable years; daughter Wanda Bryant and Jay Roach of Stuarts Draft, stepdaughter Tammy Johnson and husband Billy Middlebrook, stepson Bucky Allen and wife Judy of Stuarts Draft; grandchildren Brandy Bryant, TJ Bailey, Landon Roach, Mathew Evans, Stevin Evans, and Amanda Allen; great-grandchildren Callie and Caleb Muterspaugh, Gabriel, Raiden, Noctis, Ada Lyn Evans and he was excited about meeting his new great-grandchild Brayden Yates Roach due at anytime; special brother Andy Fitzgerald and his other brothers Bob, Jimmy, Timmy, and Tommy Fitzgerald; two special aunts that he loved dearly; Dot Fitzgerald, May Fitzgerald and special friend Jimmy Carter, James and Mac Williams.

David never met a stranger – he would always go out of his way to help someone whether he knew them or not.
